Independent technical advice is available where ground conditions, geological hazards or site suitability form part of a dispute or legal decision. Geotech Nicholls Ltd reviews the available evidence, explains the technical issues clearly and provides practical, evidence-based conclusions under the requirements of the Civils Procedure Rules.
Unfortunately disputes do arise from time to time. Geotech Nicholls Ltd are able to support those involved in construction disputes, planning matters and actual litigation. Our reports are clearly structured, carry any required statements of truth and offer unbiased practical advice, based on a clear investigation process.
We are unable to argue that black is white for our Clients, but where we can we will ensure that unnecessary and protracted litigation is minimised by presenting our opinions ungilded. To this end it is always preferred that Expert Witness reports are instructed through a Solicitor with clear instructions in respect of presentation requirements, expert witness duties and matters relating to prejudice.
Where we are required to review the work of 3rd party engineers this is done following appropriate guidance published by the ICE (Reviewing the work of another Engineer and replacing another Engineer).
